The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 要说乏善可陈倒也不是，本片努力的在标榜我不是流水线爆米花，还夹杂了虐囚事件，PTSD等现实关怀，但是整体非常闷，看完也没有什么想回味的点，高不成低不就的样子（奥斯卡伊萨克太有型了）
风格回归了八十年代的感觉，颇显政治色彩，但过于沉闷，白水一般无味。鱼眼镜头的呈现效果还是蛮有意思。

很温柔的一种拍法，牌桌与现实并行的剧作结构，围绕压力转移的概念，战争创伤另辟蹊径的表达，把一场十分温情的戏放在一个看似五彩斑斓但是冷冰冰的数字化景观中，也无异于男主色调单一的世界。扭曲或者间隔暴力场面，遭遇无法被重现，置于现场才会真正理解，是电影永远无法抵达的地方。牌算得再好，人也拗不过情绪。只是觉得爱情戏过于跳脱
