The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 居然是儿童恐怖片，更多的通过音效达到恐吓的效果。仍然是套路的被孤立的个体战胜自我战胜敌人从而寻找友情和亲情的故事，仍然是在政治正确的同时不忘把亚裔作为虚伪不值得信任的一方，这很好莱坞。
好久没看过恐怖片了，两部放在一起看，还是有点儿意思的～

難得看到一部法國片娛樂性這麼足，又搞笑又諷刺。
有点网大的制作哈哈哈，不过故事完整性还不错，可以看~

浪费我一个多小时，很简单的民间奇谭，就是要拍的硬伤一大堆，也不要说什么小成本了，七八十年代邵氏的恐怖片也能把故事讲的很好，电影好不好从来都不是靠特效的，剧本硬伤一堆。
没必要2小时，快睡着了。一般搞笑，破案也没意思
平庸的儿童向“恐怖片”，看不到一半就看不下去了，一眼望到底的剧情实在无聊，看了下剧透帖，果不其然的结局～
两星有余三星不足 前半段探案部分还是能钓着观众走的 整个上水镇富有邪教乌托邦的恐怖气氛营造吊足了观众胃口 也因为如此谜底揭晓的太快 以及抓水怪小队的集结又回到了项氏独特的味道 好像编剧写着写着就不想干了 跟导演说后面的部分你自己看着办吧 和第一部的互动也是硬尬 诶怪我 是我太想看到一部民国小村庄的仲夏夜惊魂了
镜头的衔接故事表达乱的很，东一榔头西一榔头的感觉，没有流畅的故事表达和好的演技加持，即使披着恐怖片的皮也没有作用

虽然槽点也蛮多的，但是网剧里还算可以的了。
感觉还不错啊，画面有质感，剧情也还比较完整，演员演技都在线，剧情有点像河神
法国影片的包容性总是这么大，总是用喜剧的特点来反应各种社会问题、种族、派系、政治等，黑色幽默的特点。
这也是个著名导演了，过往有几个知名作品，喜剧和破案结合，好莱坞标准商业片流程，还算有点幽默感，到半段有点墨迹了，没必要俩小时。悬疑点简单说就是高铁上的一半尸体怎么回事？原来是死者发现政治野心家的惊天大阴谋然后被灭口，6.2。这片竟然是个续集
被预告吸引来看的，有期望值的百分之八十。故事线完整，氛围营造到位，是部不错的悬疑恐怖片。一直很欣赏王真儿的演技，但这次有部分台词输出差了点意思，再有点劲会更精彩；还有点不明白的，后期被当作幌子的水猴子是弟弟，那水生杀害的是什么？最后有被小清河感动到了，可怕的从来不是“鬼怪”，是作祟的邪恶人心。推荐观看。
爱听恐怖故事的女巫，故事中再包含几个小故事，低配版本的黑暗中讲述的恐怖故事，故事有一定反转，但总体是比较积极的主角结局。
