The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? 需要遗忘对话。迷恋过去的...被迷雾遮盖的背景墙...）当我走进坐席,显得有些无措：侧着耳却什么都听不到、瞪着双眼却一片漆黑。不断变换的舞台与其说是美妙的幻影到处游走的地方,不如说是一个充满生机的场所：在这,真实的或接近真实的男男女女；以及观众,不会迷失于梦里。而是对着收音器发出了自己的声音。

他们枯燥乏味，是生存在新教伦理的理想人物，除了亲情爱情、父子情、姐妹情、崇拜之情的基本种类以外，情感分寸没有把握好，刻板僵化，只成为身份认证和抓手，而全片更多情绪情感的细节完全不在场，许多对话堪称稚嫩和淤塞。

影片極富創造力在輕巧、荒誕和幽默中包里著命運的時代悲劇，亦能映照至當下的現實。荒誕的藝術，光怪陸離的社會變遷，《霸王別姬》的隔空對唱，模糊舞臺和熒幕的撲面而來的丁達爾效應，極具個人色彩和地方特色的空靈的戲夢版的表達，細節和記憶點很多，非常大膽。
乔斯韦登也不容易，其实他临危受命改片子能剪成四年前那样也很厉害了。
剩下的基本就是为了让剧情流畅补了些画面。
