The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 剧中每一幕都是精心设计，精致的服饰，不乏幽默的对话，看着很是赏心悦目。
一开篇眼泪就下来了，我宣布理想国唐家屯永远是我最爱的电视剧。
影院重新开门终于让我看到这一部。他们一切都好，已是最好。
太失望了，真是太差了，好多次看不下去，剪辑乱七八糟，后半程好一点，总之，再也不想看到它，心情糟糕
看这个之前看了十五分钟的我要我们在一起，太尬了

觉得没有第一部好看，更没有原剧好看，期待大失望也有点大，但总体来说还是很不错了，想给个3.5。
延续剧一贯的慢悠悠但多了些起伏桥段。人物多且内容碎，作为剧的周边是可以的。单独作为一部电影看就支撑不起来。几个小反差小高潮的设置，不出奇，感觉更像传统话剧。不过到是符合那个年代的。巴罗的戏份删到让人在想，剩下出现的意义是什么。不过也能猜到，他应该和男演员有了romance 。
有了六季剧和5个圣诞特别篇+一部大电影的铺垫看此片沉浸其中，所有熟悉的人物都那么生动，由于2019年看第一部电影的时候没看过剧所以观感大打折扣（看完剧后又再次看了第一部 精彩！观感提升不少），现在看了剧再看第二部大电影且在电影院看到熟悉的人物和听到熟悉的旋律（配乐）尤为感动。电影的镜头感觉有问题 大部分段落人物（脸面、皮肤）看着发黄（应该是白），如果是加了滤镜导致那真是画蛇添足另外电影看着的时候感觉在倍速 但其实没有倍速 不知道片方是不是把片子调高一倍还是只有我一个人觉得。托马斯这集戏份本来就少得可怜但还把他戏份删了一半（6分钟同志戏）。老夫人（不剧透）看到片尾的时候落了眼泪（哭）（ps：看的普通大银幕[遮幅]激光厅 影城真良心… 亮度很高 多次从室内（暗）切室外明亮的景时都会闪我眼睛一下）
爽片。所有剧情都依着角色的意愿发展。一个矛盾出现，下一秒立马解决。单薄但是对于老影迷来说，很爽。
以婚礼开始，以葬礼结束。从无声电影到有声电影的转变，以及老奶奶的离世，都呼应了标题，唐顿庄园的new era的开始。
有人重操旧业成为唐顿历史的一部分，
有泪有欢笑的英伦童话。看第一季的时候我博士还没毕业，how time flies!
虽然有些忘了每个人物的具体事件细节，但熟悉的音乐响起时还是倒带了一大圈，也算是很喜欢的一个系列了。
有笑有泪，有高有低，有血有肉，每个人都很灵动，每个人都在自己的人生范围内演绎自己的悲喜人生。
2小时内要把所有人物的性格特点展现出来并安排好令人满意的结果属实不易，对我没看过剧的人来说也没什么障碍，但确实也没啥情怀。
它的优雅，它的善良，经过这么多年，依旧能在即使你忘记的时候叫你想起，为什么那么喜欢它。i hope you`ll be as happy as our cruel world allows. 还是那么让人欢喜感动。
3.5星。把每个人都写活了，几次让我想起《红楼梦》。 保守与时尚的交融，高贵与平凡的碰撞，充满爱的一大家子。对欧洲来说，一个最好的时代，也是几百年地理大发现、殖民财富积累的结果。
剧粉情怀向电影…对于没怎么看剧的我来说认全人脸都花了一定的时间。。
纯粉丝向电影，对新观众来讲就是冗长平淡乏味的两个小时。
